1. Lit are the tiny lamps
Lighting up all the camps
White-washed beautifully
House look too nice truly
Crackers of many kind
At shops do we find
Variety of food prepared
With the guests is too shared
At Diwali, shunning anger
All do hug one another.

2. Denied of laughter and smiles for days,
They know not what it is to enjoy,
Can you not share something you have,
Can you not bring them a little joy?When you can make someone else smile
When you can be someone’s ally
That’s when you can yourself be glad
That’s when you’ll have a HAPPY DIWALI 2016


3. The sweet smell of flowers

The array of colors

Diwali is here

Firecrackers are heard

Candles are lit

Children play

Presents are given

We pray to the gods

Diwali is here

4. Naked and fierce,
Burning with anger,
Stands the Goddess,
Great is her hunger.Machete in her hands,
Slashing at her will,
She knows no bounds,
And runs around to kill.She can’t recognize,
Sinner or saint,
In her mission to kill the evils,
She has lost her restraint.And then she steps on something,
What is it? She looks below,
To her horror she finds her Lord,
Supine, lying beneath her toe.

5.Today’s the `Festival of Lights’ all over;

A joyful day for minds and hearts and souls;

And people crowd the Temples to offer,

Prayers, resolving to take better roles.

May the Joy, Cheer, Mirth

& Merriment of this divine

festival surround you forever?

May the happiness,

that this season brings,

brighten your life and

Hope the year Brings you luck

& fulfills all your dearest dream.

A lamp emits such a light
That makes the paths bright
Dispelling the darkness around
Lamp illumines every sight
Those, who go off the path
The lamp shows the right path
To fulfill its aim, the lamp
Serves the world with all its might.
